WEEK #15

K4 thru 2nd grade this week started getting ready for Jump Rope Heart!!! We started class playing a Cardiovascular activity called Tail Tag. We then took the jump ropes and manipulated them in different ways depending on the grade level. We turned the jump ropes into hair, a mustache, ties, ear rings, etc. We then started to learn the basics of jump roping. We first practiced jumping, then turning the rope, and then putting it together. If there was time, we finished class playing Tail Tag again.

3rd thru 5th grade this week continued with their volleyball skills. But we also had to start getting ready for JRFH. We went over how to measure our jump rope and went over some of the jump rope basics. We then went over the volleyball passing skill of setting. To end class, we played the game called Alphabet.

  8. Physical activity is always good for health. Very good one if children are actively participating in the physical activities.
