WEEK #1

For the first week of school, K4 thru 8th grade went over the classroom expectations and routines. Of course, my students didn't sit the whole time. We learned through movement. The upper grades played an ice breaker activity called True or False and/or Walk or Talk. We got to know each other while discussing the reasons why exercise is important to good health. We also practiced the basics of classroom routines through the game Everyone's It Tag. The lower grades practiced the basic stop and go procedures, where we enter and leave the gymnasium, and the PBIS expectations of the gymnasium while playing basic movement activities.
