K4 thru 2nd grade's ASAP was called Body Parts. We then discussed the meaning of cooperation and teamwork. Then they had an opportunity to play activities where they could put cooperation and teamwork into action. We played Scat Cat and Mosquito Tag. With these games students were required to help each other get back into the activity. At the end of class, we discussed how if felt to be helped or not helped.
3rd thru 8th grade's ASAP were 4 corners (3rd thru 5th) and Perimeter Fitness (6th thru 8th). We continued our Respect and Sportsmanship focus with Problem Solving activities. The students had the opportunity to play the game called Maze! The students had to work together to solve the maze puzzles! The previous two lessons had to be incorporated in order to help solve the problems. We finished class discussing times we would have problems to solve in the real world.
