WEEK #25

K4, k5, and 2nd this week discussed teamwork and then practiced this life long skill with the parachute. We made an umbrella, mountain, dome, cross the river, and played the game Sharks!!!

3rd grade this week practiced the skill of rolling in an activity called Pin Guard. Our five levels of fitness warm-up was called Energy In and Energy Out, an activity where we discussed the importance of balancing our calorie intake with exercise. It's all about the energy balance for body composition.
4th grade this week finished up their basketball unit with more shooting practice and activities. Our five levels of fitness warm-up was called Energy In and Energy Out, the same as 3rd grade this week. 5th grade finished up their basketball unit by playing scooter basketball. We combined all the skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting and concentrated on teamwork in this great basketball game. Their five levels of fitness warm up was the same as 3rd and 4th grade, Energy In and Energy Out.

6th grade had their second day of their bowling unit. This week we concentrated on the 4 step approach and finished class playing Bingo Bowling. Our five levels of fitness activity was the same as 3rd,4th, and 5th grade of this week.
7/8 grade this week finished up their volleyball unit, where we reviewed the skills of bumping, setting, and serving. We practiced these skills by playing Dead Fish again but this time we used hula hoops to help increase our accuracy. We finished up the week just playing volleyball.
