WEEK # 5

K4, K5, 1st grade started class with the 5 levels of fitness warm-up called I see...You see.... We then discussed and practiced the principle of self space. We practiced to a movement song called Ain't Too Proud to Beg. We then manipulated deck rings. We rolled, flipped, spun, and kicked them. We then finished class playing a movement game named Gotcha.

3rd thru 5th grade this week started class with two muscular strength and endurance warm-ups called Dagger and Sumo Wrestling (not real wrestling). We then got the flag football belts out and played Sharks and Minnows. It is a great activity for practicing for the pacer test, as well as, practicing our chasing, dodging and fleeing skills.

6th, 7th, and 8th grade started class with an activity called T/F Fitness. We then went over Standard Number 5, exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in physical activity settings, with a game called Ancient Baseball. The success criteria for the day were no put downs, a put up without being cued, and create a team cheer.
